Madhur Goyal joined Indian Railway Service of Engineers in 1962 after obtaining BE(Honors) degree in Civil Engineering in 1961 and ME (Structures) in 1962, both from Roorkee University, now IIT, Roorkee. He retired as Additional Member (Projects), Railway Board, in the year 2000, where he was responsible for sanctioning projects on the Indian Railways (IR) and for the formulation of policy relating thereto. He spent sizeable part of his career in Construction, which encompasses the entire spectrum of construction activity including planning and design, appraisal and monitoring, and project implementation. |
